What are functional skills?

Here at Pass Functional Skills Courses and Exams, we want to ensure that you are fully aware of  what are functional skills qualifications, as well as what they entail.  In essence, they are qualifications equivalent to a passing grade (a grade C/4) in either Maths or English. This qualification comes at 2 levels, these being Level 1 and Level 2

Functional Skills Maths and English Level 1 

This qualification is the equivalent to an SAT level qualification and is what you would receive at the end of primary school. By receiving it, you are showing a basic understanding of Maths/English. It helps to build a foundation that you can build upon to get higher qualifications.

Functional Skills Maths and English Level 2

This qualification is the equivalent of a GCSE level qualification and is what you would receive at the end of high school. This qualification enables learners to progress onto higher studies or jobs. Providing access to opportunities like university degrees or apprenticeships.

You may still be unsure if Functional Skills is the right choice for you. Or you may be unsure if the qualification is accepted by your university or apprenticeship provider. Pass Functional Skills works closely with different exam boards within the UK, following their regulations and rules. Ensuring that the qualification will be accepted by all major universities and apprenticeship providers in the UK.
